Multimedia Critique: MobyMax
MobyMax is a program that has been developed using many of the research-based principles for multimedia learning, which may indicate why the program demonstrates positive results in research studies. The program incorporates multiple components into its design that serve to reduce extraneous processing, manage essential processing, and foster generative processing. While there are lots of positives to the program, the MobyMax program would benefit from consistently using human-like voices throughout all of its modules. This enhancement would make the narration more effective for its target audience of young learners.
