Excitement Redesign
The goal of this assigment was to redesign an image to make it more interesting. The original design lacked any interesting elements to draw the viewer's attention or to highlight important information. The original design used multiple bullet points in the forms of letters and numbers, which lacked visual appeal and did not differentiate the information provided. The font choice and size also lacked any differentiation further reducing visual appeal.
The subject of the original image was note-taking, therefore in the redesign I chose elements that referenced note-taking. This included utilizing a background that mimics a notebook. Different colored sticky notes were used to contain the explanation of the various benefits of note-taking. The text within each sticky note was differentiated by the use of an initial letter that was unique from the font for the other letters in style and size. This created a more interesting visual effect as opposed to the use of numbered bullet points. A push-pin graphic was used to draw attention to the heading for each sticky note, which again is more visually interesting than lettered bullet points. The final image is more interesting and purposeful in design.
